New to the Williams line up is the tenor ukulele.
The first of these Williams tenor ukes are a limited edition series of eight tenor ukulele available at $1200 each. They have individual serial numbers within the series and are numbered S1-001 through to S1-008.
This first series has been built using exclusively New Zealand timbers including kauri for the soundboards and some ripple flame ancient kauri back and sides. The necks are Matai and the fingerboard and bridge are Puriri. The instruments are bound with Rewarewa, and have a solid paua rosette.
The number of instruments in this first series was determined, in this case, by the amount of back/sides timber I had. I used a lovely piece of ripple flame ancient kauri that gave me eight sets.
Subsequent series may include more or less instruments depending on what I use.
